Volunteer Program
Become part of the Library Volunteer Team
The Library’s Volunteer Program is open to students and high schoolers aged 16 and above who are interested in culture, education, and public engagement projects. Participation offers the opportunity to see how the institution works from the inside, gain practical experience, and become part of the library team.
Areas of Involvement
1. Supporting Library Events
What you can expect:
— assisting with workshops, concerts, lectures, talks, as well as courses and intensive programs of the CIRCUIT laboratory;
— welcoming guests, providing navigation within the space, and helping with registration;
— engaging directly with invited experts in the fields of culture and the arts;
— developing communication skills and learning how to interact with diverse audiences.
2. Working with the Library Collection
What you can expect:
— assisting visitors with navigating the library and reading rooms;
— accompanying groups on guided tours of the library;
— helping maintain order in the open-access collection;
— participating in book restoration under the supervision of a librarian.
Who Can Apply
Students and high schoolers aged 16 and above who live in Tashkent, are open to collaboration, and are interested in contemporary art, culture, and education. Previous volunteer experience is welcome but not required.
The seasonal program lasts 2.5 months. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate. Recruitment opens once per season: March 1, June 1, September 1, and December 1.
