Navruz at the Library

We celebrate Navruz — joyfully, colorfully, and with heart: in the amphitheater the doira resounds with Khorezm rhythms, in the courtyard roses bloom and kites soar, and all around people try on festive attire, play, and sing. We have invited musicians, actors, art historians, artists, choristers, designers, and gardeners to listen together to the breath of the spring wind, craft tumors, paint hushtaks, learn a traditional rain-calling song, weave hair ornaments into braids, admire traditional art, and discover something personal within it.
