Clubs

Clubs are regular gatherings at the library where we read, discuss, play, and explore themes together.

Clubs are regular gatherings at the library where we read, discuss, play, and explore themes together. Each meeting is a standalone event — you can attend once or come regularly. Our library clubs, dedicated to reading, conversational practice, and board games, take place on a regular basis and are open to visitors of all ages. Participation is free: no membership is required — only prior registration. Every month, we select current topics for conversation clubs, introduce new books for our reading sessions, and update the scenarios for our game clubs. The schedule is published once a month.

BOOK CLUBS

English Book Club for the Youngest
(Ages 0–5)

Fridays, 11:00–11:30

Small Transformable Hall

February 6
Book: We Are Friends, In the Forest (“Biz o‘rmondagi do‘stlarmiz”) by Sue Downing.
Forest friends get to know one another and learn how to help, share, and get along. In this way, friendship and warmth turn the forest into a truly cozy and safe place.

February 20
Book: Noisy Farm (“Shovqinli ferma”) by Rod Campbell.
On the noisy farm live cows, chickens, and lambs. As they call out to one another and invite readers into their world, the book turns reading into a real adventure!

Facilitator: Iroda Oripova, preschool education specialist and library staff member.

English Book Club
(Ages 6–10)

Sundays, 13:00–14:00

Small Transformable Hall

We read interesting books, create our own stories, draw, play, and learn English in a creative and lively way. Through games, imagination, and connections, we immerse ourselves in the world of English vocabulary. We foster a love for speech, thinking, and reading.

The club meets twice a month.

February 1

Book: “Negative Cat”
Author: Sophie Blackall

We will познакомиться with the story of a boy living in a foster home and a cat who is kind but always hiding and refuses to play. We will observe how the characters learn to understand each other and discover the role of reading in building relationships and transforming insecurity into friendship.

February 15

Book: “The Sheep Who Hatched an Egg”
Author: Gemma Merino

We will read a touching story about Lola’s lamb and a little chick. We will reflect on the question of whether appearance is more important, or inner qualities and actions.

Facilitator: Library staff member Laziza Tursunova
